3D Business: sustainability and technology with zero impact

Sustainability and innovation: the mission of 3D Business

By combining technological advancement with environmental responsibility, 3D Business is constantly striving toward a sustainable future. Our company stands as a catalyst for change, adopting environmentally sustainable practices and investing in cutting-edge technologies to reduce the environmental impact of 3D printers.

3D Business: Certified Sustainability

In 2024, 3D Business used only 100% renewable electricity, certified with Guarantees of Origin-a concrete commitment to sustainability and responsible innovation in 3D printing.

green vision and environmentally sustainable materials

Guided by our green vision, we operate with the goal of reducing CO2 emissions through conscious choices and innovations in the industry. Our 3D printers are designed with an eco-friendly perspective, using mainly bio-based materials and environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. In particular, our new Carbonaut material represents a significant breakthrough: a carbon-added engineering polymer that is fully recyclable and produced with minimal CO2.

Companies have always played a significant role on the global environmental impact. That’s why 3D Business acts as it always has as an active participant in change, creating a zero-impact reality.

Guided by a clear green vision, we at 3D Business operate through increasingly sustainable choices, adopting processes to reduce CO2 emissions and investing in the best technologies and innovations to develop bio-degradable materials. Our 3D printers are entirely created by additive manufacturing technique, using almost exclusively bio-based material.

Thus was born Carbonaut.

innovative technology for a sustainable world

Carbonaut is the result of our research and development, created to produce all the mechanical parts of our 3D printers. Its advanced composition and eco-friendliness make it a pillar of our sustainability mission.

what is carbonaut?

Carbonaut is a special carbon-added technopolymer specially developed by the 3D Business engineering team. Entirely recyclable, it requires an extremely limited amount of C02 for its production.

Environmentally sustainable components for responsible production

In addition to our innovative technology, our 3D printers are equipped with covers and outer coatings produced by other 3D printers, employing materials such as polylactic acid (BioAlfa) and thermoplastic copolyesters (Carbonaut), derived from renewable and natural sources. This choice not only ensures efficient production, but also makes the components of our 3D printers compostable and bio-degradable.

Reducing emissions for a sustainable future

Our commitment to sustainability is also reflected in tangible results. On average, 3D Business machines emit only one-tenth as much CO2 emissions as conventional 3D printers, a fact that highlights our pioneering role in the industry and motivates us to continue to explore and adopt new green technologies. With a constant eye toward the future, we are committed to offering our customers the highest quality with a reduced environmental impact.
